1. A tentative agenda is given below for the SAX99 Workshop on April 19-20 at the Bangor Submarine Base.
2. When signing in at the Bangor main gate, pick up a map showing the route to the workshop site (Olympic Haus). Registration/continental breakfast will be from 0800-0830. The $70.00 registration fee can be paid by cash, check, or credit card. If time does not permit all registration to be completed before the workshop commences at about 0830, it will be completed at later breaks.
3. There will be an overhead projector, a standard slide projector, and a computer projection system for use by presenters.
4. Instructions for reaching the Silverdale Hotel and the Bangor main gate were included in the March 17 update. They can also be found (starting about midday PDT on April 12) in a slightly updated form at http://www.apl.washington.edu/hfsa-dri/directions.html.
Check this site in particular if you plan to take the Seattle Fauntleroy-Southworth ferry to cross Puget Sound. Two routes are now given from Southworth to Silverdale. The new route is more direct and quicker, while the route given previously takes 5-10 minutes longer but has scenic sections.
5. From now through the end of the workshop I will keep my cell phone on; please do not hesitate to call at any time if a special need should arise (206-890-3598).
See you at the workshop!
