The October 2001 issue of the IEEE JOURNAL OF OCEANIC ENGINEERING will be devoted to High-Frequency ( > 1 kHz) Sediment Acoustics and Associated Sediment Properties and Processes. Papers are solicited on acoustic and environmental measurements and modeling pertaining to high-frequency (HF) scattering from, penetration into, and propagation within shallow water sediments. Papers on environmental measurements or modeling need not include acoustic components, but it is encouraged that environmental papers discuss relevance to acoustic measurements or modeling.
